Very Reverend Roman Bobesiuk

  Roman Bobesiuk was born on January 25, 1981 in the village of Krasnosiltsi, which is part of the Zbarazh district in the Ternopil region of Ukraine. In 1988, he enrolled in the first class at the secondary school of Krasnosiltsi. From 1996 to 1999, he studied at the Chortkiv Dyak-Regent School. In 1999, he graduated from the Zbarazh Secondary School. From 1999 to 2006, he was a student at the Ternopil Higher Theological Seminary named after Patriarch Joseph Slipy. He studied philosophy and theology. He defended his work on the theme: “Preparation for Marital and Family Life in the Documents of the Church after the Second Vatican Council”.
  After graduating from seminary, in 2006 he entered the Pontifical University of Pontificia Universitas Gregoriana in Rome, where he studied theology and majored in dogmatic theology. He successfully defended his license in Mariology.
  On December 13, 2008, he received deacon ordinations. On January 14, 2009, he received priesthood ordinances. On March 1, 2009, he was appointed administrator of the Parish of the Ascension of the Lord in Dubno. In 2009, he was appointed chairman of the commission for the evangelization of Lutsk Exarchate of the UGCC. In 2009, he was appointed an auditor of the tribunal of Lutsk Exarchate of the UGCC. From 2009 to 2016, he was the Chancellor of the Lutsk Exarchate of the UGCC. In 2010, he was awarded a Certificate of Merit by Lubomir Husar for professional coverage of the events of church and community life. In 2011, he was appointed Coordinator of the Church Development Strategy. In 2013, at the parish, he registered a charitable public non-profit organization of Charitable Foundation “Caritas-Dubno”. In 2014, he was appointed a member of the Board of Exarchal Advisers of the Lutsk Exarchate of the UGCC. In 2014, he was appointed a member of the Presbyterian Council of the Lutsk Exarchate of the UGCC. In 2014, he was awarded a diploma for active charitable activity by the Dubna City Council. In 2015, he was appointed censor of Lutsk Exarchate of the UGCC. In 2016, he was appointed parish priest of the Ascension of the Lord in Dubno. In 2016, at the Parish of the Ascension, he opened a literary cafe. In 2017, he was awarded the breastplate of gold. In 2017, at the Parish of the Ascension of the Lord, he founded the Spiritual Center for Youth and Family Leisure. In 2017, the Rivne Regional State Administration was awarded an honorary diploma for volunteer activity. In 2018, His Beatitude Sviatoslav Shevchuk was awarded a certificate of thanks for his sacrificial priestly service. In 2019 he was accepted to serve in the Diocese of Chicago and appointed an employee at St. Nicholas Cathedral in Chicago. In 2019 he was appointed administrator of the Missionary Institute at the Diocese of St. Nicholas. In 2019 he was appointed priest for the cathedral communities: Mothers in Prayer and Mary’s Wife.
  His wife, Oleksandra Bobesiuk, born in 1984, is a Candidate of Philological Sciences, an elementary school teacher, and elementary computer science teacher. Since February 2009, she has worked as an assistant at the Department of Ukrainian Language and Literature of the Kremenets Regional Humanities and Pedagogical Institute named after Taras Shevchenko.
  He has three sons: Ilya Romanovich Bobesiuk born in 2009, David Romanovich Bobesiuk born in 2013, and Marko Romanovich Bobesiuk born in 2016.
